Privacy Policy
Effective October 5, 2026
This policy explains what information Soulpull and soulpull.org handle, and what we do with it.
1. Summary
Soulpull has no accounts and no ads, and we do not sell your data. Your game saves stay in your browser. The only personal-style information we handle is what you choose to post in the Ask & Answer section, plus basic technical data that any website host receives.
2. What we collect
- Game data on your device. Your saves, settings and sound preference are stored in your browser (localStorage and IndexedDB). They are not sent to us.
- Technical data. When you visit, our host (Cloudflare) receives your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time. This is used to deliver the site and keep it secure.
- Ask & Answer posts. The question or answer text you write, an optional display name or Discord handle you type, votes and reports. We also keep a random device ID created in your browser, and a salted one-way hash of your IP address that changes daily and is used only to limit spam. We do not store your raw IP address in the discussion database.
- Fonts. The website and game serve their fonts from soulpull.org itself, so your browser does not contact Google for them.
- Website statistics. Cloudflare may add its privacy-focused analytics, which counts visits without tracking individuals across sites.
3. How we use it
- to run the website and game and keep them secure
- to show, moderate and rate-limit community posts
- to fix bugs and understand how the site is used, in aggregate
We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising.
4. Cookies and local storage
We do not set advertising or tracking cookies. We use your browser’s local storage and IndexedDB to keep your game saves, your sound setting, and (for the discussion section) the random device ID. You can clear them in your browser settings, but that will delete your local game saves, so export a backup first.
5. Who we share it with
Only the services that run the site: Cloudflare (hosting, security, database for the discussion section). Links to Discord, Reddit, PayPal and Ko-fi take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies. We may also share information if the law requires it or to protect the Service from abuse.
6. How long we keep it
Discussion posts stay until they are removed. Daily spam-limit hashes are short-lived. Server logs are kept by Cloudflare under its own retention rules. Game saves stay in your browser until you delete them.
7. Your choices
You can export or delete your game saves at any time. You can ask us to remove a post you made, or to delete information we hold about you, by emailing [email protected] or contacting us in Discord. We aim to reply within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct or erase personal data and to object to its use; contact us and we will help where we can.
8. Children
Soulpull does not ask for or require personal information to play, and there are no accounts, ads or purchases in the game. Anyone can play and read the community section.
Posting questions or answers is for people aged 16 and over. Before posting, visitors are asked for a date of birth. We do not store or send that date; the browser only remembers whether the check was passed. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has posted personal information, or you are a parent or guardian who wants information removed or deleted, email [email protected] and we will remove it promptly.
9. Security
We use HTTPS and standard protections, and we try to keep community data safe. No website can promise perfect security.
10. If this changes
If we add accounts, cloud saves, payments or partner integrations, we will update this policy and tell you before collecting that information. The date at the top shows the latest version.
